Online Exhibit
Overview
Unlike the majority of the collections featured at the museum, the Education Outreach Motorpool Collection is used for hands-on tactile learning and programs. In the following pages we introduce the vehicles making up this collection, describe their uses in WWII, and the maintenance projects that keep these vehicles “alive”.
The Education Outreach Motorpool Collection is located in The Military Vehicle Display Building, completed in 2017 as part of the Pacific Combat Zone. This building was underwritten in part by the Don L. and Julie Holden Foundation and given in memory of Colonel Don L. Holden, U.S. Army who served in the China Burma India theatre. The Military Vehicle Display Building is not open to the public, but the vehicles are seen in programs on and off-site.
