Paratrooper Boots
Pair of paratrooper boots. These boots were worn by donor Lt William T. Calhoun of the 503rd PIR and were defined as his most prized WWII possession. Calhoun did not wear these boots for the battle on Noemfoor because he did not want the coral to tear up his boots. Calhoun reserved these boots for the jump of Corregidor. These boots were only for qualified paratroopers; if you wore them without authorization, you would be reprimanded.
