Oral Histories
The Center for Pacific War Study’s oral history program preserves the stories of those who lived through World War II. Since beginning the program in 1988, dedicated volunteer oral historians have interviewed more than 4,000 veterans. The recordings and transcripts are available to the public at the Portal to Texas History. New oral histories are continuously recorded, transcribed, and added to the Portal on a regular basis.
