Jon Parshall saw his interest in the Imperial Japanese Navy develop early in his childhood. Parshall’s book, Shattered Sword: The Untold Story of the Battle of Midway, coauthored with Anthony Tully, is the definitive account of that pivotal battle in the Pacific.
