80th Anniversary of the End of World War II

In 2025, the National Museum of the Pacific War will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, paying tribute to the millions who fought and died to secure our freedom through a focus on four pivotal objectives:

Honoring sacrifices: We pay tribute to the millions who fought and gave their lives to secure freedom. Their courage and resilience continue to inspire future generations.

Preserving history: With most WWII veterans now in their 100s, this anniversary may be among the last chances to hear their firsthand accounts. Preserving these memories is vital to ensure their stories endure for posterity.

Learning from the past: This milestone invites reflection on the lessons of WWII, particularly the value of international cooperation in addressing global challenges.

Educating younger generations: The anniversary offers a platform to teach those who may feel far removed from the war about its significance and its profound influence on shaping the modern world.
